3 of John’s top tips for pitching ESG journalists:

  • Try to picture how a journalist would cover a story when pitching your press release to the reporter 
  • Journalists are more likely to focus on governance (board members, stakeholders etc) that the environmental or social aspects of ESG
  • The middle of the week is best to pitch ESG journalists – avoid doing so on Fridays
