El Periódico de Catalunya
Gemma Robles Calabaza is now Joint Director of the Spanish daily national newspaper El Periódico de Catalunya. She was previously Madrid Bureau Chief for the same publication. In addition, Carol Álvarez MontesinosJoan Cañete Bayle and Bernat Gasulla have been appointed as Deputy Directors on rotation. Carol was previously Barcelona Editor for the Spanish daily national newspaper El Mundo, a role she will keep alongside her new responsibilities. Bernat was previously a Reporter at El Periódico, as well as Deputy Online Editor. Joan was previously an Editorial Coordinator for El Periódico, were he has been working for more than twenty years.

RTVE
David Valcarce is now Director of the Spanish public national broadcaster RTVE. He succeeds Eladio Jareño, who has left to pursue other interests. David has been at RTVE since 1987 and has worked in numerous roles.

Retail World / Convenience World
Nicholas Rider has been appointed Deputy Editor at Retail World and Convenience World magazines, where he was previously a Journalist. He was also a Content Producer at Architecture & Design and Infolink | BPN Magazine. Nicholas is also a Photographer, specialising in portraiture, event and live music photography, but has experience covering other styles of photography (food, press, architecture etc.) as well. Nicholas' photos have appeared in publications such as The AustralianSydney Morning HeraldAustralian Financial ReviewDaily Telegraph and Qantas Travel Insider. He has also done photography for Opera Australia, Life Music Media and theEAR.

Vozpópuli
José Alejandro Vara is now Opinion Editor for the Spanish online newspaper Vozpópuli, where he was previously Economics and Business Editor. Alejandro will keep writing about politics, maintaining a dedicated column.
