The Alonement Podcast
Francesca Specter, formerly Deputy Editor at Yahoo Lifestyle UK, has launched the Alonement podcast. Francesca interviews guests – kicking off with Alain de Botton, Poorna Bell and more – about the time they spent alone and why it matters to them. The show is available on Apple PodcastsSpotify and Podbean, with new episodes released every Friday. She would love to hear about guest opportunities for actors, musicians, comedians, authors, presenters and sportspeople, recording remotely for the foreseeable future. Freelance Update - Arthur Goldgaber
Financial Journalist Arthur Goldgaber is now available for freelance assignments. He has recently written articles for Better Investing, the magazine of the National Association of Investment Clubs, and blog posts for the American Management Association. Other writing projects have included an article about the UK Bribery Act, which was published in the Securities Regulation & Law Journal. He also helped to edit an annual book about hedge fund performance published by Institutional Investor. He was a reporter at Investor's Business Daily and Financial World magazine.

CNN en Español

CNN en Español has launched the new radio show ‘CNN Primera Mañana’ for the Argentine market. Directed by the Argentine presenter Nacho Girón and broadcast Monday to Friday at 12pm (BST), the programme is focused on the main issues of the global agenda, with a special focus on the issues affecting Spanish speaking countries. HuffPost Italia
Mattia Feltri is now Editorial Director of HuffPost (Italy). He replaces Lucia Annunziata, who has left the publication to pursue other interests. Mattia was previously a Reporter for the Italian daily newspaper La Stampa, where he will remain as a Contributor. Mattia can be found on Twitter at @mattiafeltri

La Repubblica
Maurizio Molinari is now Editorial Director of the Italian national daily newspaper La Repubblica. He was previously Director of the newspaper La Stampa. Maurizio replaces Carlo Verdelli, who has left to pursue other interests.

Michal Kucera is now the Editor-in-Chief at the Czech lifestyle magazine ForMen. He succeeds Tomáš Otta, who had led the magazine for the last four years. Michal previously worked at the weekly economic magazine Týdeník Euro and Lidové noviny daily, managed External and Government Affairs for Skoda Auto and served as a diplomat. Iantha Yu has started as the Acting Beauty Director at Marie Claire Australia. Prior to this, she was the Beauty Editor at BEAUTYcrew (beautycrew.com.au). Iantha covers beauty, including cosmetics, fragrances, hair and skin care.

AA Gill Award

The Sunday Times' AA Gill Award for emerging food critics, in association with the Society of Editors, is now open for entries until 26 May. The winner will receive a prize of £5,000 and their review will be published in The Dish, the food section of The Sunday Times Magazine. Runner-up and third place will receive a prize of £500 and £250 respectively. The judges are Flora Gill, Jeremy Clarkson, the restaurateur Jeremy King, restaurant critic Marina O’Loughlin, and food editor, Lisa Markwell, plus Ian Murray from the Society of Editors. The Webby Awards
The nominees for the 24th annual Webby Awards have been announced. The Webby Awards presents two honors in every category: The Webby Award and The Webby People’s Voice Award, the latter of which is voted for by the public. Also in the pipeline is a WIJ Lit Fest which will feature a journalist/author with a book out in conversation with Eleanor Mills. First up is Christina Lamb, Sunday Times Chief Foreign Correspondent, on 2 June.
