Bauer Media Group has appointed Chris Duncan as the new CEO for the UK publishing business. He will report directly to Rob Munro-Hall, who has been appointed President of Bauer Media Group’s global publishing business. Chris joins Bauer Media Group from News UK, where he was most recently Managing Director of Platform Partnerships. More information can be found here

Onda Cero

The Spanish radio station Onda Cero has launched the new programme ‘Radio Cuarentena’, which shares personal stories of self-isolation from ordinary people. It is broadcast at 7:55pm Monday to Friday and at 4:00pm on weekends. David Martos is the Director. The show can be listened to online here

Body+Soul (National Magazine)
Kara Byers has joined Body+Soul as Deputy Editor. Scottish Press Awards

The winners of the 41st Scottish Press Awards have been announced in a celebration of national and local journalism across Scotland. This year’s judging panel comprised 37 independent judges from across Scottish media, politics and public affairs. The planned awards ceremony was postponed due to the coronavirus lockdown, but it is hoped that the winners can be presented with their trophies in an event later this year. AA Gill Award
The Sunday Times' AA Gill Award for emerging food critics, in association with the Society of Editors, is now open for entries until 26 May. The winner will receive a prize of £5,000 and their review will be published in The Dish, the food section of The Sunday Times Magazine. Runner-up and third place will receive a prize of £500 and £250 respectively. The judges are Flora Gill, Jeremy Clarkson, the restaurateur Jeremy King, restaurant critic Marina O’Loughlin, and food editor, Lisa Markwell, plus Ian Murray from the Society of Editors.
