The following appointments have been announced for BBC World Service languages:
Hernando Alvarez (@alvarezhdo) and Mehvish Hussein have been named Executive News Editors, Digital.
Tim Awford has been appointed Executive News Editor, Channels.
Liz Gibbons (@lizjgibb) is named Executive News Editor, Longform. 

Daily Mirror
Ruby Flanagan (@rubyflanagan27) has moved to the Mirror as a Money Reporter, joining from the personal finance team at the Daily Express.

Daily Star
Perkin Amalaraj (@perkin_amalaraj) will be joining the Daily Star on 17 January as a News Reporter. He previously reported for Global Investigations Review, the intelligence platform for global coverage of corporate investigations and their aftermath.

Freelance Writer Mark Warren (@MrMarkWarren99) has been appointed as a Senior News Writer at Gfinity Esports. He can be reached via email.

James Gray (@jamesgraysport) has been promoted to Sports News Correspondent at the i paper. James, who has worked on the i’s sports desk since 2020, will continue to cover the biggest news stories in the sporting world - from football and rugby to F1 and boxing - as well as continuing tennis grand slam coverage, and summer and winter Olympic Games.

The Times
Victoria Watson has been appointed to the role of Group Managing Editor of The Times & The Sunday Times. Currently Managing Editor at The Sun, Victoria will transition into the role over the next few months and take responsibility for editorial operations and strategy, reporting to the Editors of The Times & The Sunday Times. The appointment follows the departure late last year of previous Group Managing Editor, Craig Tregurtha.
