Bauer Media
Millie Payne and Charlotte Roberts have joined Bauer Media as News and Entertainment Writers, largely focussing on heat, Closer and Bella. They would love to hear about celebrity news and interview opportunities.

BBC Radio 1
Dean McCullough and Vicky Hawkesworth are to host a brand-new daytime show (Monday to Thursday, 1pm-3.30pm) at BBC Radio 1, with the first show broadcasting on Monday 5 September 2022. It will be the first weekday programme to move out of London and broadcast from Salford as part of the BBC’s Across The UK plans.

Harriet Whitehead
(@whiteheadhe) has returned to Civil Society Media as Deputy News Editor, working across the magazines Charity Finance, Fundraising Magazine and Governance & Leadership Magazine. Harriet was a Reporter for CSM until last September, when she became a Health Reporter at Reach plc.

Hearst
Hearst UK has announced the appointment of Alison Forth as Director of PR and Communications. Alison, who first joined the business in an interim capacity in January, will be responsible for driving Hearst UK’s corporate communications agenda, as well as handling external communications across their 21 brands which include Good Housekeeping, ELLE, Cosmopolitan, Harper’s Bazaar, Women’s Health, Men’s Health, Esquire and Digital Spy.

Leanne Bayley
(@LeanneBayley) has been promoted to Digital Lifestyle & Commerce Director (editorial shopping content) at HELLO!, where she was previously Digital Head of Lifestyle. Leanne wants to hear about new beauty launches, exciting fashion drops, huge sale news and the latest must-have item going viral on Instagram and TikTok.

London Live
James Dickman (@jamesdickman94) has been promoted to Deputy Head of News at London Live, where he was previously Senior Producer. James has editorial control of the station’s news and current affairs output and will continue to act as a lead presenter and producer of daily shows.

mallowstreet
Cintia Cheong (@CintiaCheong) was recently appointed Deputy Editor at mallowstreet, the community website for the institutional pensions industry. Cintia covers insurance and pensions and will bring news and features about both topics on mallowstreet.

Nottinghamshire Live
Olimpia Zagnat
(@OlimpiaZagnat) has been promoted to Senior Reporter at Nottinghamshire Live, where she was previously a Trainee Reporter. Olimpia can continue to be reached at the same email address.

Reach plc
David Higgerson, currently Deputy Editor-in-Chief for Audience and Customer at Reach, has been appointed Chief Digital Publisher. Other senior editorial appointments include:
Paul Rowland has been appointed Editorial Director for the Live Network, responsible for strategy and delivery of local output across the Live Network in England and Wales.
Alison Gow has been appointed interim Audience and Content Director for Video and Audio, responsible for all video output across Reach.
Anna Jeys has been appointed interim Audience and Content Director for new audiences, with a particular focus on a new brand expected to launch later in the year. She will continue in her role as ACD for the Midlands, with interim deputy support in that area to be announced.
Nathan Bliss has been appointed as Reach’s first Group-wide Gaming Editor and will work closely with Anna Jeys.
Helen Dalby will remain Audience and Content Director for North East and Yorkshire, with leadership of the LDR scheme and Facebook community reporter scheme, with a newly added remit to cover training and development across the Live Network.
Chris Sherrard has been appointed interim Audience and Content Director for the North West and North Wales, in addition to continuing to lead the Irish editorial operation.

Lottie Hulme (@lottie_hulme) has joined The Sun’s showbiz desk as a Reporter, where she will be covering exclusives and news. She was previously Showbiz and Lifestyle Writer at OK! Online.

The Sunday Telegraph
Will Hazell
(@whazell) will be joining The Sunday Telegraph from the end of July as a Political Correspondent. Will has served as Education Correspondent at the i paper for almost three years.
