BBC Radio 5 Live
Hayley Hassall will be the new presenter of the early morning weekend programme on BBC Radio 5 Live, presenting every Saturday and Sunday, between 1am-5am. Her first show will be on Saturday 11 September. A presenter for CBBC’s Newsround for the past 12 years, Hayley has also produced major investigations into homelessness, child hunger and refugees. She has also worked as a reporter for The One Show, Sunday Live, Radio 4’s File on 4, and has reported live from major sporting events such as the Olympics and Wimbledon.

Ciara Dossett has been appointed Features Assistant on Inspire at the Daily Mail. Ciara, who was previously the Editorial Assistant in the Daily Mail books department, can be reached via email.

Carly Hacon has been appointed as a Showbiz Reporter for the Daily Star Online, effective in August. Carly was previously a Junior Writer for Top of The Pops and Girl Talk magazine, and is currently freelancing for the Mirror Online’s showbiz desk. Hairdressers Journal International
Charlotte Grant-West is now Editor of Hairdressers Journal International, where she oversees content across the brand's print, digital and social media channels. Charlotte will still be continuing her role as Editor of Modern Barber for the present and is interested in hearing about professional hair related news, views and launches across both the hairdressing and barbering sectors. HuffPost UK has announced five new hires:
Habiba Katsha has joined as Life Reporter. Habiba has already written for a range of sections at HuffPost UK, including Life and Entertainment. She was previously staff writer for the Restless Network, as well as contributing to Refinery29, the i, and GalDem.
Faima Bakar has also started as Life Reporter. Faima was previously Life Reporter at Metro where she co-ran The State of Racism project.
Kate Nicholson is now Senior Trends Reporter within the audience team, joining from the special projects team at the Daily Express. Kate will cover the day's most compelling stories and what people are talking about on social media.
Nabihah Parkar has joined as Audience Engagement Reporter within the audience team. Nabihah has experience at the BBC, where she appeared on BBC Minute and worked for Newsbeat.
Alexandra Rogers has started as Political Correspondent. Alexandra joins from Reach where she was Parliamentary Correspondent for Yorkshire Live and My London.

Jacob Lewis has moved to the i newspaper from The Sun, where he was Deputy Travel Editor. Jacob is writing and editing on the travel desk and can be found on Twitter @jacobwlewis

Alan Rusbridger has been appointed Editor of Prospect magazine, taking over from Tom Clark, who will continue to write for the title as a Contributing Editor. Rusbridger’s first issue will be the Winter Double edition, available on newsstands from mid-December.
