BMJ Open Sport & Exercise Medicine
Professor Evert Verhagen
, a human movement scientist and epidemiologist, has been appointed as the new Editor-in-Chief of BMJ Open Sport & Exercise Medicine, effective from January. He succeeds Professor Emmanuel Stamatakis who has been Editor-in-Chief since February 2019. Evert Verhagen is currently Professor of Epidemiology of Sports, Exercise & Health at the Amsterdam University Medical Center in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He is also the director of the Amsterdam Institute of Sport Science and the Amsterdam Collaboration on Health & Safety in Sports. He can be found on Twitter @EvertVerhagen
