The BBC has announced the appointment of Stewart Maclean as the new Editor of Newsnight. Stewart has been Deputy Editor of Newsnight since 2018 and Interim Editor of the programme following Esme Wren’s departure.

Yasmin Rufo (@yasrufo) has been appointed Shopping Writer at the Evening Standard, where she covers all topics ranging from homeware to beauty but is particularly interested in tech gadgets. Yasmin was previously a Producer and Writer at CNBC News. She is also on Instagram @yasminrufo_

Natalie Chui (@natalierpchui) has been promoted to Senior Content Writer at Express.co.uk. She will be covering travel, food & drink, home and fitness, as well as writing reviews and buying guides. Natalie joined the site last year as a Lifestyle Writer.

Financial Times
Georgina Quach (@georginaquach) recently joined the Financial Times as Newsletter Editor. Georgina writes, edits and curates multiple newsletters, including Inside Politics. She was previously a Scott Trust Bursary journalist at The Guardian.

Lotte Jeffs is now a Contributing Editor at Grazia as well as currently hosting the magazine’s Life Advice podcast. Andrew Bailey (@bailsbails) has been named as the new Editor-in-Chief of UPDAY UK and Ireland. He will start on 19 April 2022. He succeeds Dina Spector, who is leaving the company at her own request. In his new role, Andrew will be responsible for managing UPDAY's London based editorial hub and all local editorial, administrative and business operations related to UPDAY's UK and Irish editions and editorial services for third party clients. He will report to Michał Wodziński, Editor in Chief International of UPDAY. Previously, Andrew was Managing Editor (Digital) for LBC and LBC News at Global, as well as Senior UK News Editor at Sky News, with editorial responsibility for TV, radio and online.
