The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) has outsourced production of its global media brand E&T to content and publishing agency Redactive. The agency is now responsible for the magazine, website and digital channels, which will be redesigned in the fourth quarter in line with a new content strategy and brand identity.

(@geochesterton) has been appointed Executive Editor for the Evening Standard, starting in September. George joined The Telegraph almost two years ago as Executive Managing Editor, following several years at Condé Nast Britain.

Ella Buchan
, previously a freelance food and travel writer, is now Editor of loveFOOD.com. She’s keen to hear from PRs about food news, interviews and feature ideas, particularly anything that falls into their key interest areas of home cooking, fast food, unusual dining experiences, money-saving tips, food history, global food news, and US food trends. Ella, who is based near Newcastle upon Tyne, is also interested in food-focused press trips and new openings/launches.
In addition, Natasha Lovell-Smith has taken on a new role as Features Writer. She is interested in global food news, particularly American trends and fast food, plus new products and recipes. Natasha was previously Editor of Great British Food magazine.

Reporter Perkin Amalaraj (@perkin_amalaraj) will be joining the foreign desk at MailOnline at the end of July. Perkin has worked on the Daily Star’s newsdesk since January, having joined them from Global Investigations Review.

(@amberallott) has taken up a new role at NationalWorld as their Environment and Sustainability Specialist. Amber joined the team in February as Late Editor, following two years covering the environment for Stuff in New Zealand.

(@ArthiNachiappan) has joined Sky News as Technology Correspondent. Arthi was previously Economics Correspondent at The Times.

The Voice
North Devon radio station The Voice has announced Laura James (@laurajamesradio) as their new breakfast show host. Laura, who joined The Voice two years ago, will present from 7am to 11am on weekdays. Previous breakfast host Paul Hopper now presents from 11am to 2pm.

Sira Thierij
Former BBC journalist Sira Thierij (@SiraThierij) has moved to Dakar, Senegal, to cover West Africa for English and German media. Sira is a multimedia journalist who shoots and edits video; she has over five years’ experience working for international news organisations across two dozen countries. Her work focuses on documenting climate change, migration, humanitarian crises, human interest and conflict across West Africa and beyond.
