The Bureau of Investigative Journalism has announced the appointment of Rozina Breen as its new CEO and Editor-in-Chief. Rozina has more than a decade's experience leading newsrooms and pioneering collaborations, partnerships and new digital platforms. She is leaving her position heading up the BBC in the north of England, where she led editorial teams and operations. Previously she was Head of News at BBC Radio 5 Live.

Holly Tomalin 
has returned from leave into the newly created role of Senior Retail Editor for British Vogue and Glamour UK with immediate effect. Reporting into Vanessa Kingori MBE, chief business officer for Condé Nast Britain and Vogue European business advisor, Holly continues to edit the Checklist pages for British Vogue, whilst contributing to Glamour's fashion and lifestyle content with her weekly article Glamour Must-Haves. Additionally, Holly will continue to support on British Vogue events.

JOE Media has appointed Tobi Akingbade as Social Editor for Joe.co.uk. Tobi was previously Social Editor for Ladbible Group's Tyla. Prior to that she has worked as a reporter and multi-media journalist for The Independent, Evening Standard, LBC, NME and Metro.co.uk.

Kaveh Solhekol
has been appointed as the new Chief Reporter at Sky Sports News. He is joined by Melissa Reddy, who has taken one of the Senior Reporter roles following a spell at The Independent. Melissa will be based in the North West on a Senior Reporter team which also includes Rob Dorsett and Tim Thornton. Geraint Hughes completes the Senior Reporter line-up at Sky Sports News.

The Sun Savers team now has a group email which reaches the whole team of writers. Deals can be sent to the new email, but the following people should be copied in: Leah Milner, who now edits the page and the other regular writers, Harriet Cooke, Giselle Wainwright, Esther Shaw and Katie White. The team would like to receive weekly round-ups of the best discounts, Top Swap products, money-saving features and stories involving tips on how to cut spending. High-res images should be supplied, ideally by We Transfer link or similar.

SussexWorld
JPIMedia has launched SussexWorld, a news, sport and lifestyle website to serve all of East and West Sussex. SussexWorld brings together their existing 16 local news sites onto one platform.

Freelance Update - Amy Fallon
Freelance journalist Amy Fallon, who was based in Australia during the pandemic, has returned to the UK after finishing her human rights masters and is available for commissions and part-time work and is interested in hearing about opportunities. She covers mainly social justice, human rights, lifestyle, Africa and Uganda, travel and culture. Her work can be seen at: www.amyfallon.com. She has reported from five continents including Africa and Asia, worked as a staff journalist in Australia, and worked in-house as a freelancer for most of the UK nationals and some consumer magazines.
